Staying at the Welcome Hotel in Bamberg offered some nice surprises. I enjoyed the lovely historical building with its beautiful architecture. The breakfast spread was outstanding. I appreciated the variety and quality each morning. My room had high ceilings, creating a sense of spaciousness that was pleasant. However, a few issues marred the experience. The noise from the nearby streets was disruptive, especially at night, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Also, the absence of air conditioning made the room uncomfortably warm during the day. While the staff were generally friendly, I felt the fitness room needed better equipment and should have been included in the hotel fee. Overall, while I loved the ambiance and breakfast, the noise and temperature control were drawbacks.

The hotel’s location by the beautiful river was perfect for our family. We enjoyed walks along the path that led to the old town. The staff was friendly, especially during breakfast where we had many options to please our 5 teenagers.
My kids wished for better entertainment options in the room.

Staying at Welcome Hotel Residenzschloss Bamberg was delightful. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the Domplatz and other attractions. The rooms were comfortable, and we appreciated the provided fan to help with the warm summer weather. The breakfast spread was decent, and the option of a sauna and fitness room added a nice touch.
Breakfast could use more fresh fruit.
